At a meeting of the University basketball team held last night, Irving S. Broun '08, of New York City, was unanimously elected captain for next year. Broun prepared for College at Horace Mann School, New York, where he played on the team for two years. Since coming to College, he has played guard on his Freshman team, and for the last two years has been regular right forward on the University team.
Of the men who played on the team this year Captain E. L. Burnham '07 and the two substitutes, T. F. Downey '07 and L. Miles '07, will graduate, and H. V. Amberg '08 will enter the Law School. E. S. Allen '09, I. S. Broun '08, E. S. Currie '09, and P. Brooks '09 will return to College, and be eligible for next year's team. With the good material from this year's second and Freshman teams, the prospects for a strong team are fairly bright.
