The first meeting of the Saturday Course for teachers on the Contemporary German Drama by Mr. W. G. Howard '91 will be held this morning at 10 o'clock in Room B of Emerson Hall. This course, which will be conducted in English, is offered as a continuation of Professor Kuehnemann's course on Das deutsche Drama der Gegenwart. The intention is to supplement and illustrate Professor Kuehnemann's lectures by the detailed examination of particular plays. The fee for the course is $15, which should be sent by check or post-office order to Charles F. Mason, Bursar, Dane Hall, Cambridge.
The Committee on Afternoon and Saturday Courses for Teachers has obtained permission from the Faculty to invite Departments to offer again next year courses intended primarily for teachers. The courses offered will begin ordinarily during the first week in November, and will close on or about the first of April. The fee for each course will be $15 as at present.
The Faculty has also authorized the committee to grant certificates, on the recommendation of instructors, to those students in these courses who do the required work and satisfactorily pass a final examination.
