To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

Students are hereby warned against the man who recently has been entering College rooms, passing bad checks, and obtaining money from students on the pretence that he himself is a student who needs a small sum to return home.

The man may be described as being between 22 and 25 years old, and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He has dark hair, a round face, and a rather feminine voice. He usually wears a dark stiff hat and a paddock coat, and often a white vest and a large scarf pin. Fall River and Lynn are the places usually given by him as his home city.

Any student who sees or meets this man is urgently requested to detain him until the arrival of an officer. The Police Headquarters may be reached by telephone during the day or night. The day telephone number is Cambridge 423; the night number Cambridge 1980. P. J. HURLEY, Chief Inspector, Cambridge Police Department.
