A memorial service to Mrs. Elizabeth Cary Agissiz, the first president of Radcliffe College, will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock in Agassiz House, Radcliffe College. President LeB. R. Briggs '75 will preside and the speakers will be President Eliot, Professor Charles Eliot Norton '46, and Professor W. W. Goodwin '51. President Eliot, and Professor Norton will speak on "Mrs. Agassiz and her Relations to Radcliffe College," and Professor Goodwin on "Mrs. Agassiz and Radcliffe College in Relation to the World at Large." In addition it is expected that some pupil of the select school for girls which Mrs. Agassiz once conducted for a short time in Cambridge will speak.

Mrs. Agassiz was born on December 6, 1822, so that the service tomorrow will be also an anniversary of her eighty-fifth birthday. She was active in the founding of Radcliffe, and at its incorporation in 1883 became its first president. She held this office until 1899, when the infirmities of age compelled her to resign. She died on June 27, 1907.

The service tomorrow will be open to all Radcliffe graduates and undergraduates, and by special invitation to friends of Mrs. Agassiz and others connected with the college.
