The University hockey team held its second practice on the ice yesterday afternoon at the Brookline Country Club. In the preliminary work the forwards were sent down the rink against the defense to develop passing and team play. This was followed by a 30-minute scrimmage between two provisional teams in which neither side scored owing to the roughness of the ice, which made passing and shooting very difficult. The work of the defense was good though it was not given a thorough test.
