The consolation cross-country run was held over the regular five-mile Harvard course yesterday afternoon. Of the eighteen men who entered, E. B. Smith '08 finished first in 26m., 42s., C. P. Howard '09 was second, time 27m., 11s., and G. E. Brown '08 was third, time 27m., 31s.

The first two men, Smith and Howard, will be taken on to the training table. J. R. Coolidge, 3rd, '10 will take the place on the University team of H. F. Hadden '09, who will not run any more this season. Nine or ten men will be chosen form the present squad to compete with Yale at New Haven next Wednesday.
