Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
A joint meeting and separate annual meetings of the National Municipal League, the National Conference for Good City Government, and the American Civic Association, will begin at Providence, Rhode Island, today.
This afternoon at 3 o'clock in Manning Hall, Brown University, President Faunce of Brown will deliver an address of "Welcome on behalf of Our Providence Hosts," which will be followed by a reply on behalf of the National Municipal League by President C. J. Bonaparte '71, a reply on behalf of the American Civic Association by President J. H. McFarland and greetings of the Canadian Union of Municipalities by Secretary W. D. Lighthall.
At 3.30 o'clock Secretary C. R. Woodruff will address the National Municipal League on "The Battle for Betterment," and Hon. Brand Whitlock, Mayor of Toledo, Ohio, will speak on "National Parties in Local Elections."
Tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in the Auditorium of the Brown Union reports of committees will be read by Horace E. Deming '71 and others. At 3 o'clock there will be round-table conferences on the subjects "Is it Desirable or Practicable to Diminish or Exclude the Influence of the National Parties and Issues in Municipal Contests," and "Electoral Reform."
President Bonaparte '71 will deliver his annual address at 8.30 o'clock in Sayles Hall on "Government by Public Opinion."
Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in Sayles Hall Professor A. B. Hart '80 will review the work being done by national bodies to co-ordinate and increase the influences making for progress. At 3 o'clock Dr. W. B. Munro '99, among others, will speak on "The Galveston Plan of Government," and F. H. Wheelan '80 will tell "How San Francisco is Winning Good Government." Thursday evening at 7 o'clock a dinner will be given to the members and delegates of National Municipal League; Horace E. the American Civic Association.
