Interesting Practice at New Haven

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

New Haven, Conn., November 12.--The university team had a long secret practice today, after which they scored one touchdown in a ten-minute scrimmage against the freshmen. The university team then lined up against the scrubs and scored another touchdown. T. Jones and H. Jones were not in the scrimmage today, and Biglow played only a short time. The practice was the most interesting of the year, and the playing showed a great improvement. The second team put up a good defense and gained some ground against the first eleven. A great deal of kicking was done and practice of the forward pass and onside kick were features of the day's work. Bomar's line plunging was excellent. Over 20 old players were back to coach the team.
