INTERCLASS TENNIS MATCHES

Played Yesterday in Rain.--Matches Today in Singles and Doubles.

All but two matches in the first round of the singles in the interclass tennis tournament were played off yesterday in a drizzling rain. The matches not finished were in the Sophomore-Freshman series, and will be played today at 2.30 o'clock, continuing from the scores as they stood when play was stopped The doubles between the Seniors and Juniors will also be played at 2.30 o'clock, and the doubles between the Sophomores and Freshmen at 3.30 o'clock today. This will necessitate the postponement of the finals in the doubles of the University tournament until Friday. The Seniors won four out of six matches yesterday, and the Freshmen three out of four, two not being played. The summary of yesterday's matches is as follows:

G. Burt '08 defeated C. D. Moss '09, 6-4, 6-2; H. P. Burt '08 defeated E. T. Dana '09, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4; C. R. Leonard '08 defeated A. S. Dabney '09, 6-8, 6-2, 9-7; G. S. Taylor '08 defeated O. W. Knauth '09, 4-6, 6-1, 6-4; E. P. Pearson '09 defeated E. M. Pickman '08, 6-0, 6-4; N. W. Niles '09 defeated C. C. Pell '08, 6-2, 6-4; F. R. Kirkland '10 defeated J. M. Walker '11, 6-2, 2-6, 6-1; W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated J. W. Wheelwright '10, 7-5, 6-4; F. F. A. Pearson '11 defeated D. V. Leland '10, 6-2, 6-4; W. M. whiting, Jr., '11 defeated F. S. Blanchard '10, 6-4, 6-4; H. Nickerson '11 and T. B. Townsend '10 stopped with the score 8-6 in Nickerson's favor; G. P. Gardner '10 and A. Sweetser '11 stopped with the score eight all.

The following is the schedule of today's matches:

Doubles at 2.30--C. C. Pell '08 and E. M. Pickman '08 vs. A. S. Dabney '09 and N. W. Niles '09, C. R. Leonard '08 and G. S. Taylor '08 vs. O. W. Knauth '09 and E. P. Pearson '09, G. Burt '08 and H. P. Burt '08 vs. E. T. Dana '09 and C. D. moss '09.

Doubles at 3.30--G. P. Gardner '10 and J. W. Wheelwright '10 vs. W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 and A. Sweetser '11, F. R. Kirkland '10 and T. B. Townsend '10 vs. H. Nickerson '11 and J. M. Walker '11, F. S. Blanchard '10 and D. V. Leland '10 vs. J. M. Whiting, Jr., '11, and F. F. A. Pearson '11.

Results of matches must be posted in the CRIMSON office, on a card provided for that purpose, before 6 o'clock.
