The seventh annual intercollegiate geological excursion in New England will to be held on Saturday, starting from Providence, Rhode Island, at 8.30 o'clock. It will be under the direction of Professor Emerson, of Amherst College, Professor Brown, of Brown University, and Professor J. P. Woodworth '94, of Harvard. Teachers and students who have had elementary courses in geology are invited to attend; and notices have been sent to all the principal institutions of New England to that effect. The carboniferous formations running through Providence in an east and west direction will be particularly studied on this trip.
Last year's trip was to Meriden, Connecticut. Usually about 40 students from the University go on this trip.
