The semi-finals in the doubles tennis tournament were played off yesterday on Jarvis Field. C. C. Pell '08, and G. P. Gardner '10 defeated H. V. Amberg '08 and G. Burt 1G., by the score of 6-2, 6-3, 6-3. The match was one sided, and the playing on both sides erratic, though occasionally brilliant. N. W. Niles '09 and A. S. Dabney '09 defeated J. W. Wheelwright '10 and F. S. Blanchard '10, by the score of 11-9, 6-2, 6-2. This match was hotly contested and extremely interesting. Blanchard and Wheelwright made up for Niles' twisting serves and Dabney's clever placing by their hard shots and steady volleys.

Pell and Gardner will meet Niles and Dabney in the final match in the doubles, the end of this week or the beginning of next week. Pell will play Niles for the championship of the University on Jarvis Field today at 2.30 o'clock. The match should be close and well contested.
