Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The University and second eleven had an unusually long scrimmage yesterday afternoon lasting nearly an hour, in which the University team scored three touchdowns. Many substitutes were tried, and few of the men played during the whole scrimmage. The work of the University team was most encouraging, as they forced the second to play a defensive game throughout, and kept the ball in the latter's half of the field.
Rand was tried out at fullback on the first team, and played his usual hard game, making some excellent gains through tackle. Frequently, he seemed to have little difficulty in dodging through most of the second team. C. G. Osborne '07, tackle on last year's University eleven, Coach Leary and Wendell played on the second and did much to strengthen its defensive line. With Leary on one end, Wendell on the other, and Osborne to bac. up the line, the second's defense was much stronger than usual.
Cutting's and Gregory's end running was also good, for they made some consistent gains around those positions. Cutting has been given much attention by Coach Daly of late. His strong point is that he uses his head to great advantage, and with a little more knowledge on minute points of the game, should make a first-rate halfback.
Brock was put in at guard on the first team yesterday after a long absence from practice. Another shift made was to try out Hoar at guard. He was naturally unaccustomed to his position, but played a pretty snappy game and broke through the second's line a number of times.
The first touchdown was made by Rand shortly after the kickoff. After the ball had changed hands several times the second touchdown came as a result of Fish's falling on the ball on the 10-yard line after a blocked kick. The final touchdown was made by Nourse, who ran 50 yards after securing the ball on a fumbled punt.
