New Haven, Conn., Oct. 14, 1907.--The practice of the University football team today displayed encouraging speed. Good judgement was shown in the use of the forward pass, which worked very successfully.

The University team had scrimmages with both the second and Freshman teams. Against the second neither side scored, though the University team had very much the best of it.

In the scrimmage with the Freshmen, the University scored three touchdowns in ten minutes play.
