Prospect Union Opens Monday

The Prospect Union, which is conducted by members of the University, will begin its sixteenth annual session on Monday, October 14. The classes will meet one or two evenings a week until May, and courses will be given in Algebra, Arithmetic, Bookkeeping, Chemistry, Economics, Commercial Law, Composition and Geography. With the exception of the special civil service course, and the stenography and typewriting courses, all the instruction is given by students or instructors of the University. In addition to the regular program of classes, there will be occasional lectures by prominent speakers on current topics, with music on Sunday afternoons during November, December, and January. Following these there will be a series of Saturday evening smoke talks at which informal speaking on all topics will be encouraged. The officers for the ensuing year are: President, N. Kelley, 2L.; vice-president, A. A. Ballantine '94; secretary, E. Kemble; and superintendent of classes A. P. Mathew, 2L.
