Freshman Play Groton in First Game

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman foot-ball team will play its first game of the season this afternoon at Groton with Groton School. The team as now made up is a strong combination and works well together. Coach Hall has drilled the men especially in the new rules, and the team at present is capable of playing a fast and intelligent game. Groton defeated the Freshmen last year, but the present Freshman team is much heavier than that of last year, while Groton is generally considered not so strong.

The practice yesterday was light, con- sisting mostly of passing the ball and signal practice, a good deal of time being spent on the forward pass.

The teams will line-up as follows:

HARVARD 1911.  GROTON.Corbett, l.e.  r.e., CliffordSohier, l.t.  r.t., ParkerBlodgett, l.g.  r.g., SargentMcNider, c.  c., AmoryDunlap, r.g.  l.g., GardnerMcKay, r.t.  l.t., DanielsonCrowley, r.e.  l.e., ClarkDavis, q.b.  q.b., FarrSweetser, l.h.b.  r.h.b., ChristyPope, r.h.b.  l.h.b., FrothinghamLeslie, f.b.  f.b., Nichol
