The work of the Freshman football squad yesterday was of a more strenuous nature than it has been previously. The squad was given practice in falling on the ball, then the backs were made to pick the ball from the ground while running. After a short drill in catching punts the squad was divided and two teams were put through a preliminary signal drill. The makeup of the first team was: Centre, Cotting; guards, Maguire and Dunlap; tackles, MacKay and Strong; ends, Rogers and Harding; quarter, Johnson; half-backs, Davis and Pope; fullback, Minot.
