The University Catalogue, which will be issued on January 15, shows a total enrolment this year of 6245, an increase of over 265 over last year's figures. The registration of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the Law School and the Dental School indicate a decrease of men studying those subjects. The registration of the Lawrence Scientific School, however, should not be compared with the corresponding total in former years, because the administration has allowed all men desiring the S.B. degree to register in Harvard College this year and to use the elective system. The registration of the Scientific School, therefore, shows a large decrease, and that of Harvard College a correspondingly large increase. The Graduate School of Applied Science and the Afternoon and Saturday Courses for Teachers have been instituted this year for the first time. A table of the statistics of enrolment follows:
