The University and Freshman rowing squads will not be called out until after the mid-year period. The work will be confined to the machines and the tank until the weather permits of going out on the river. In addition to the men who composed the University trial eights last fall, eleven men, chosen from the graded crews, will be taken up to the University squad.
For the benefit of inexperienced men, Coach Wray will be at the University boat club on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons to give individual coaching. This opportunity for extra coaching before the active season begins is extremely valuable, especially for the men who were taken up from the graded crews. All Freshmen are also urged to take advantage of this opportunity, and if a sufficient number of men report, Coach Wray will be on hand every afternoon. Active rowing work has been postponed this year in order that nothing may interfere with the College work of the men who expect to row in the spring.
