Professor W. R. Spalding '87 spent the Christmas recess in the larger cities of the Middle West, presenting to prominent alumni the recently approved plans for the new Musical Union building. It is expected that much of the financial support necessary to the erection of the new building will come from alumni of these cities who are interested in the musical life of the University.
