The final dates of the eight Hyde Lectures to be delivered this February by Le vicomte G. D'Avenal under the auspices of the Cercle Francais have now been determined. The lectures will be on the general subject of the economic history of France from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. Several changes have been made in the arrangement and dates of the lectures since last announced in the CRIMSON.
Tickets for the course may be obtained from G. L. Foote, 33 Beck Hall, to whom application must be made in writing before February 1. No person may apply for more than four seats. Applications will be filled in the order of their receipt.
The lectures will be given in Sanders Theatre at the following--dates and hours:
February 13--Les decouvertes dues a la nouvelle histoire economique et privee. 4.30 P. M.
February 15--Les paysans et 1'agriculture, depuis le Moyen Age jusqu' a nos jours. 8 P. M.
February 18--Le Socialisme d'hier et la genese de la propriete individuelle recente. 4.30 P. M.
February 20--L'ouvrier, le manoeuvre et le domestique, anciens et actuels; leurs salaires. 8 P. M.
February 22--De quoi se composaient les fortunes des riches et des bourgeois autrefois. 4.30 P. M.
February 25--Le budget des depenses de l'ouvrier et du paysan, depuis sept cents ans. 4.30 P. M.
February 27--L'influence de l'Etat et celle des mouvements de la population sur'le prix du travail. 8 P.M.
March 1--Les riches du passe et du present. 4.30 P. M.
