Dr. C.R. Eastman has sailed for Europe, to take possession of the zoological collection of Baron de Beyet of Brussels, which has just been purchased by Mr. Andrew Carnegie as a gift to the University. The gift was purchased through the influence of Dr. Eastman. Baron de Beyet has made a life long study of extinct fauns, and his classifications have been accepted by most of the universities of Europe.
