Rough Water Hindered Yale Crews

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

GALES FERRY, June 13, 1906.--In a brush between the Yale university and freshman crews this afternoon, the freshmen won by a length. The brush was not spirited, however, and the stroke was not raised above 28 to the minute. Rough water hindered the work, but the university eight went up stream close behind the launch.

The four-oar went 2 and 1-2 miles down stream and back. The boat was steadier after the shake-up of yesterday, and considering the poor conditions, the work was very satisfactory.
