Yale Crew Rowed Over Course

The Yale university crew was given its first trial row over the regular four-mile course at New London yesterday afternoon. The time was taken for the first time, but no official announcement was made. Although the men did not exert themselves especially, they rowed well and in good form. Rockwell was again placed at bow, where Weeks has been rowing since the arrival of the crew at Gales Ferry, and filled the position satisfactorily both in the morning and afternoon practice. the freshman crew accompanied the university eight for a distance of two miles, and the university four-oar followed at an easy stroke for a mile and three-quarters.
