The Freshman baseball team defeated the Stone School team Saturday afternoon, on Soldiers Field, by the score of 4 to 2. Neither Nash, who pitched for the Freshmen, nor Corwin, who pitched for Stone's, received good support; but of the two Nash was the steadier, giving but two bases on balls.
In the fifth inning, the Freshmen scored three runs on two bases on balls, a sacrifice, two errors and a single by Cate. A base on balls, a stolen base and Paine's hit, in the next inning, were responsible for the Freshmen's last run. Nash's unsteadiness in the ninth netted Stone's their only runs.
The score: Cornell defeated Princeton in their annual dual meet at Princeton on Saturday by the score of 78 1-4 to 38 3-4 points; and Pennsylvania defeated Columbia in their annual meet at Philadelphia by the score of 102 to 15 points.
