W. Hickox '08 won the University golf championship on Tuesday by defeating H. H. Wilder '09, 1up, in the final match of the University tournament.
In the two preliminary interclass matches, which were played on the links of the Brookline Country Club on Tuesday, the Seniors defeated the Juniors, 5 to 4 1-2, and the Sophomores defeated the Freshmen, 4 1-2 to 3, counting each match one point and each hold a half point. The match between the Seniors and Juniors was very close, ending in a tie after the 18 holes had been played. Each pair played three extra holes, which gave the Seniors the match by a half point.
The Seniors will play the Sophomores for the class championship at 3 o'clock this afternoon on the Brookline Country Club course.
