Harvard Crews Defeated at Henley

Both Harvard crews were defeated in the American Henley regatta at Philadelphia on Saturday.

The University second eight was beaten in the Junior Collegiate race by the Syracuse second crew in 7 minutes and 37 seconds. The winner led the Pennsylvania second eight by a length from the eighth-mile point.

The Freshmen were beaten by 4 seconds by the University of Pennsylvania first crew. The time was 7 minutes and 9 seconds.

The course, 1 mile 550 yards, was the same for all races.
