Cornell Won Lacrosse 1 to 0

The University lacrosse team was defeated by Cornell in the final game of the intercollegiate schedule in the Stadium yesterday afternoon by the score of 1 to 0.

Ricketson scored the only goal of the game for Cornell during the first five minutes of play. The University team failed to get into the game at the start. The men did not cover their opponents well and passed the ball erratically. The University team then steadied down, however, and by strong defensive work kept Cornell from any further scoring. The attack also became more aggressive and the ball was kept near the Cornell goal during the entire second half of the game; but the men missed several good opportunities to score.

As a result of yesterday's game, Cornell won the championship of the intercollegiate league, by winning all three of the league games. Harvard ranks second with two games won and one lost.
