1909 Baseball Team Leaves

The Freshman baseball squad will leave the Square at 12.15 o'clock today to take the 1.07 train from the Back Bay station for New Haven. There they will spend the night at the New Haven House, and will play the Yale freshmen tomorrow afternoon at 1.30 o'clock on the university diamond, Yale Field. The men will return to Cambridge tomorrow night.

The squad will be composed of the following men: Briggs, Bush, Currie, Cutting, Dana, Harding, Hartford, Kelly, Moss, Paine, Palmer, Rogers, Coach Pieper managers Arrowsmith and Hoar.

Yesterday afternoon the team had batting and fielding practice as usual. Considerable time was spent in practicing bunts. The work was encouraging. The team will hold light practice this morning before leaving.

T. Briggs was last night elected captain of the nine.

Every member of the Freshman class is expected to be in the Square at 12.05 o'clock to cheer the 1909 baseball team on its departure for New Haven.
