Freshman Nine Defeated Milton

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman baseball team defeated Milton Academy 10 to 0 yesterday afternoon at Milton. The Milton team was outclassed in every department of the game, and only one man reached third base. The game was encouraging, coming before the game with the Yale Freshmen on Saturday at New Haven, as the batting showed improvement. Although the opposing pitcher was by no means the hardest the Freshmen have met this year, they not only secured 15 hits, but showed more ability to place the ball than in the last game. Harding and Palmer each made four hits. Hartford pitched his first game for the Freshmen, striking out nine men in four innings, and gave no bases on balls. Bush who replaced him in the fifth inning also struck out nine men. The Freshmen are still slow at times on bases.
