In the annual debate with Princeton on Friday evening the Yale team successfully upheld the negative of the question, "Resolved, That a bachelor's degree should be required for entrance to a law school connected with a university." Yale lost two of the three baseball games played at New Haven last week. Williams won a close and exciting game on Wednesday by a score of 1 to 0. On the following afternoon Yale won a good game from Penn. State by a score of 3 to 2. Saturday, in a very loosely played game, Holy Cross defeated the Yale team 16 to 4. The Yale players did miserable work in every department and the score is indicative of their style of play.

"L" crew--Stroke, Boulton; 7, Morse; 6, Bouscaren; 5, Chase; 4, Schumemann; 3, Atkins; 2, Darragh; bow, Weeks; cox., Barkalow.
"Y" crew--Stroke, Mayer; 7, Ide; 6, Noyes; 5, Rogers; 4, Biglow; 3, Williams; 2, Graham; bow, Rockwell; cox., Bennett.
Four oar--Stroke, Harris; 3, Scott; 2, Godley; bow, Boardman; cox., Seligman.
The senior team won the interclass tennis tournament which closed Saturday. Hon. Emory Speer of Georgia has delivered a course of lectures on the Storrs foundation at the university during the week. Judge Speer is a remarkable speaker and his addresses have been exceedingly interesting and instructive. He has taken as his subject the lives of great Americans.
The junior members of the two sophomore debating clubs, the Wigwam and the Wranglers, have given a handsome cup to be competed for each year by teams representing the two clubs. The first of these annual debates was held on Thursday evening and was most successful. The Wranglers won. The annual Sophomore Public Speaking Contest was held the same evening, and was won by R. M. Byrnes 1908.
