Second Baseball Team Defeats Maine

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University second baseball team won its second game of the season from the University of Maine on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon by the score of 9 to 8.

The game was very poorly played, both teams making costly errors in the field. Taylor pitched a creditable game, allowing only four hits, but at critical moments he lacked control. This was most evident in the second and third innings, when Maine did all her scoring and secured a lead over the second which lasted until the last inning.

The summary: Innings,  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9 Harvard Second,  0  0  2  2  3  0  0  0  2--9 Maine,  0  5  3  0  0  0  0  0  0--8
