The Freshman baseball nine defeated the Brown freshmen by a score of 2 to 0 yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. The batting of the Freshmen was weak, especially with men on bases, as they made only one earned run against a comparatively poor team. In running bases too, the Freshmen displayed lack of judgment. Nash pitched effectively against a team which showed few signs of hitting ability, striking out eight men and allowing no bases on balls.
