Several changes were made yesterday in the orders of the University crews. As Flint, who has been at bow in the first eight, did not go out with the crew yesterday, his place was taken by Corlett from 7 in the second. Emmons, 5 in the second boat, was tried for part of the time at 3 in the first crew.
In the second Corbett went in at 7, Richards was moved from 4 to Swaim's seat at 6, Lowell was tried again at 5, and Warren returned to his position at 4.
The crews paddled up stream to the Brighton bridge, and the University crew, despite the change and the fact of its being only the second day in the new shell, spaced well, especially when they raised the stroke for a stretch above the infirmary. The second crew was rather unsteady owing to the general shift in the order.
