NEW YORK, May 11.--The University lacrosse team defeated Columbia here today by a score of 3 to 2. In the game, which was extremely rough, Harvard was weakened by the loss of Daniels, whose nose was broken. Both sides played a poor game, owing largely to the bad condition of the field. The Harvard attack was weak, showing want of team play.
