The funeral services of the late Professor J. K. Paine h.'69 were held in Appleton Chapel yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. After the services the body was cremated at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
Rev. M. L. Kellner '85, a professor of the Episcopal Theological School officiated at the ceremonies, and the Apollo Glee Club of Boston sang at the services.
The following acted as honorary pall-bearers: President Eliot, Professor J. Royce, Professor W. R. Spalding '87, Professor W. G. Farlow '66, Professor J. W. White '77, Mr. W. P. P. Longfellow '55, Professor F. S. Converse '83, Professor A. A. Howard '82, Mr. A. W. Foote '74, Mr. G. Riddle '74, Mr. W. J. Winch, Mr. A. H. Dakin, Mr. C. S. Hamlin '83.
