Columbia Defeated 1909 in Fencing

The Freshman fencing team was defeated Saturday night in the Gymnasium by the Columbia freshman team by a score of 8 bouts to 1. S. Kelly was the only Freshman to win a bout. The Columbia freshmen were more experienced fencers, two of their team having fenced on the Columbia university team.

The officials were: referee, A. Tyng sS.; judges, J. Lage, Technology, H. A. Hirsch 2L., H. Fleming, St. James, O. MacLaughlin, St. James; scorer, H. E. Porter '09, and timekeeper, W. S. Jacques, Columbia '09.
