Action of Overseers on Football

At the meeting of the Board of Overseers yesterday, the following vote was taken:

Voted, that the report of the committee, on physical training, athletic sports and sanitary condition of all buildings, presented to the Board of Overseers at its stated meeting of April 11, be returned to the committee with instructions that they confer with the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports, and call their attention to the vote of the Board of Overseers of January 10, and report back to the Board at an early date.

The vote of the Board of Overseers on January 10 was as follows:

It is voted that the Committee on the Regulation of Athletic Sports be requested to report to this board what changes they propose in the game of football, and until said report has been acted upon and approved by the governing boards, to permit no further games of intercollegiate football.
