The first issue of the University Gazette was placed on public sale Saturday at the Publication Office, and may be obtained at the Co-operative today. It contains beside the University Calendar varied official matter including appointments of officers of instruction and government, and of standing committees; awards of fellowships; the granting of degrees; the changes in rules governing admission to Harvard College and the Lawrence Scientific School; announcements of new courses and lectures; changes in tuition and laboratory fees; additional clinics for the Dental School; the official promulgation of the bequest of R. W. Sayles '01; and a list of all publications recently issued by officers and students in the various departments of the University.

The Gazette will be published every Friday during Term time (September to July). Contributions and announcements should be left at the Publication Office, 2 University Hall, not later than Wednesday of each week. Subscription price, $1 a year, payable in advance.
