1909 Baseball Team Outdoors

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Freshman baseball squad was given its first outdoor practice on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. The outfielders were given light work in catching flies, while the rest of the squad remained in the Cage. Owing to the soggy condition of the ground, the infielders will not be given outdoor practice until sometime next week.

Considering how early in the season it is, the prospects of the Freshman team are excellent. The team will have at least three weeks outdoor work before its first game on April 24.

Coach E. L. Grant 1L. has resigned, but his successor has not yet been appointed.
