Prof. Veblen to Lecture on Socialism

Professor T. B. Veblen of the University of Chicago will deliver in the early part of April a series of lectures, under the auspices of the Department of Economics, on the subject of "Contemporary Socialism" and more particularly "The Development of Socialism since the Time of Karl Marx."

Most of the lectures will be given as part of the regular instruction in Economics 14b. a course on "Methods of Social Reform," but Professor Veblen will also speak before the Seminary of Economics. The first four lectures will take place in Sever 18 on April 3, 5, 10 and 12, at 4.30 o'clock; and the fifth in University 23 on April 9, at 4.30 o'clock. All the lectures will be open to members of the University.

Professor Veblen is a well known writer on social and economic problems, and has contributed several articles to the Harvard Quarterly Journal of Economics.
