The University Glee, Mandolin, and Banjo Clubs will give their second spring concert before the Salem Club at Salem, next Wednesday evening. On Tuesday, April 10, the clubs will give a concert at Melrose Highlands, and on the following Saturday members of each club will give a joint concert at the monthly smoker of the Harvard Club of New York. A series of Yard concerts will be given as soon as the weather permits.
The Glee Club will not have a professional coach this spring. The men, however, are doing satisfactory work, due largely to the abundance of good material. The number rehearsing with the Club is nearly twice as large as it was last year.
The Mandolin and Banjo Clubs have shown consistent development and are now playing in excellent form. The attendance at the rehearsals of these clubs has been large, and more regular than usual,--a fact which is credited to the new system of fines.
