In answer to a petition for a general living room, suite 3 in the south entry of Weld Hall has been turned into a smoking and reading room. A brick fire-place and window-seats have been furnished by the University, and students living in the building have contributed a piano, a table, chairs, and necessary decorations for the room.
Room 46 in the fifth entry of Walter Hastings Hall has been changed in a similar manner. The partition between the bedroom and study has been removed, leaving the large room joined by a smaller one. The rooms have been re-decorated, and facilities fitted for hot water heating. Contributions for furnishings are being made by those living in the building.
