As the Stadium track was still too soft yesterday for use, the University track team was compelled to run again on the speedway and on the sidewalk along the side of Soldiers Field. The distance men ran about two miles, and the half-mile squad ran about a mile on the speedway. Candidates for the broad and high jumps, the hurdles, and the sprints ran about a quarter of mile on the sidewalk. As on Monday the men who are trying for the weight events were coached by Mr. Quinn.
