The University basketball team defeated the second team in a short practice game last night by the score of 20 to 12. In the ten minute halves the work of the University team was slow and lifeless, but this was probably due to the effects of the hard game with Yale on the preceding night. Before the preliminary work the usual shooting and signal practice was held, but the men lacked the life that has been such a feature of the practice this year.
