The University basketball team defeated the Freshmen in practice last night a score of 60 to 13. In all departments of the game the Freshmen were completely outplayed, and were able to score but three baskets from the floor. In the first half the University team swept the Freshmen off their feet by good passing, accurate shooting and trick formations. After gaining a good lead, however, their play slackened and became rough. On the defensive the University players were decidedly weak, and failed to cover after the ball had been lost. In the second half, which lasted for 30 minutes, the Freshmen took advantage of their opponent's weaknesses and held their own for a time. By individual work, however, the University team increased its lead.

The line-up was as follows: UNIVERSITY TEAM.  FRESHMEN Broun, Brooks, r.f.  l.g., Deane Quigley, l.f.  r.g., White Amberg, c.  c., Dial, Strauss Griffiths, r.g.  l.f., Allen Burnham, l.g.  r.f., Currie

Score--University team, 60; Freshmen, 13. Baskets from floor--Amberg 11, Quigley 7, Griffiths 6, Broun 2. Dial 2, Currie, Baskets on fouls--Griffiths 8; Currie 7.
