Professor B. Wendell '77, of the English Department, will deliver a series of eight lectures on "Impressions of Contemporary France," on Wednesday and Friday afternoons at 4.30 o'clock in the Fogg Lecture Room, beginning next Wednesday. His subjects will be as follows: "The Universities and Education"; "The Structure of Society"; "The Family and Domestic Life"; "The French Temperament;" "The Relation of French Literature to French Life"; "The Question of Religion"; "The Revolution and some of its Effects"; "The Republic and Democracy."

These lectures will be open to the public.
