Second Basketball Team Defeated

The University second basketball team was defeated last night at Lowell by the Lowell Textile School, 24 to 9. The Harvard team played a fast game, but the play was very brought and, owing to the large number of fouls, there was little chance for consistent team work. A mixed system of rules was used, fouls being thrown from the 20-foot line, and the baskets were smaller than those to which the second team has become accustomed. McCarty excelled for Harvard.

The line-up and summary follow: UNIVERSITY 2d TEAM.  LOWELL TEXTILE. Appel, l.f.  r.g., Carr McCarty, r.f.  l.g., Field, Stursberg Miles, c.  c., Gay, Macdonald Dwelley, r.g.  l.f., Church Goode, l.g.  r.f., Walker
