Good Work in Basketball Practice

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The second practice of the University basketball squad last night was decidedly encouraging. After preliminary work in shooting and passing, a game was played between two picked teams in which the first team had little difficulty in winning by a score of 36 to 18. The passing and covering of the first team were excellent, and its team play showed considerable advancement for so early in the season.

The line-up was as follows: TEAM A.  TEAM B. Currie, l.f.  r.f., Downey Broun, r.f.  l.f., Mossman Amberg, c.  c., Miles Burnham, l.g.  r.g., Dwelley, Wendell Brooks, r.g.  l.g., Marsh, Rounsefell

More candidates are urged to come our at once as this week an excellent opportunity for preliminary practice is afforded. Practice for the University team is held in the Gymnasium every evening from 7.15 to 8.30 o'clock, and for the Freshman team, from 8.30 to 9.30 o'clock.
