Chess Team Leaves for New York

The University chess team will leave today at 1 o'clock for New York to take part in the fifteenth annual intercollegiate chess tournament. The team is composed of Q. A. Brackett '07, G. T. McClure '07, E. H. Gruening 1G., K. S. Johnson '07, and substitute, F. D. Utley '08. While in New York the team will stay at the Hotel Endicott. The tournament will be held in the rooms of the West Side Republican Club, and play will begin tomorrow at 1 o'clock, and will continue until Saturday night.

The members of the Intercollegiate Chess Association are Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia Universities. The program of play will be as follows: Thursday, Harvard vs. Columbia and Yale vs. Princeton; Friday, Harvard vs. Princeton and Yale vs. Columbia; Saturday, Harvard vs. Yale and Princeton vs. Columbia.
