1907 Class Meeting Last Night

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Senior class at a meeting in Lower Massachusetts last night, decided to adopt the same method for the election of class and Class Day officers and committees as was adopted by the classes of 1905 and 1906.

According to the constitution of the class, at this meeting a committee of ten should have been elected to nominate class officers as was done during the two previous years, but owing to the large number of Class Day officers and committees, and to the many rules governing their election, this method of choosing a nominating committee was deemed inefficient.

In the case of the previous classes the president appointed a committee of ten or more which nominated the class and Class Day officers and committees and drew up the rules governing their election. The committee then submitted these rules to the approval of the class and the elections were held a few days after.

Besides adopting these regulations last night it was likewise voted that the first marshal should act as president, and the second marshal as vice president of the class.

After some discussion it was also voted to adopt the wearing of a class button, and to have a committee appointed by the chair to select a suitable design for the button.

The selection of the members of the committees on nominations and on the class button will be announced shortly.
